Growing up in California I was never big on foul weather wear. While the Golden state certainly saw its share of downpours, my wet weather exposure was limited to walking to and from my car, which of course was often parked in a garage, so there was no need to protect myself from the elements. Of course everything changed when I moved to Manhattan—a walking city—and discovered there was no way to avoid puddle jumping during a down pour.
